The Community and Voluntary sector represents workers from organisation including charities, other voluntary-sector organisations, not-for-profit organisations and grant-aided projects and work in a variety of areas including housing and care.
The Community Forum meets three times a year and focuses on defending pay, sickness absence, health and safety and funding issues, which are all common problems in this sector.
Members of the community service group also get involved in campaigns against public service cuts and defending jobs and services when they come under threat.
