UNISON Greater London LGBT+ group fights discrimination and prejudice in the workplace on behalf of its lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members.
We organise through an elected regional committee who meet four times a year, with an additional AGM and separate Policy Days and Training & Organising Days, to plan our campaigns.

We are very high profile at many Pride events in London, taking our messages of equality and standing up for public services to the wider LGBT+ community. We will be attending the following Pride events, and encourage all members/ activists / branches to help out and take part.
Croydon Pride – Saturday 19 July 2025
Croydon Pride will be held on 20 July, where the region is hoping to have a stall. We are looking for volunteers to help run the stall, and increase UNISON’s visibility in the local area, and promote the work we are doing for LGBT+ workers. We are currently awaiting confirmation of our stall, and we will update all volunteers in due course.
Trans Pride – Saturday 26 July 2025
As you’ll be aware, the Trans Equality campaign is a national priority and UNISON’s presence at this pride is vital to send a clear message of solidarity to the trans community, and show that UNISON stands against transphobia and related discrimination in all forms. The more members/activists/branches in attendance, the louder the message we send to support the Trans community.
Middlesex Pride – Sunday 27 July 2025 Middlesex Pride will be held on 27 July, where the region is hoping to have a stall. We are looking for volunteers to help run the stall, and increase UNISON’s visibility in the local area, and promote the work we are doing for LGBT+ workers.
